Meetings & Notices


Throughout the project duration, the community will have numerous opportunities to get involved to share their local insight, concerns and ideas. Outreach meetings are scheduled over various project milestones to update the community and solicit feedback:

  1. Kick-off Meeting (April 18, 2013) 
    An open house was held on April 18th to obtain feedback from the public and gather information on the Ralston Avenue corridor. Approximately 40 people including City Councilmembers and Planning Commissioners turned out to review maps and provide suggestions for the 4-mile study route. Public input will be used to define the study goals, identify issues and opportunities to be addressed, set priorities for future public improvements, and suggest guidelines for future operational and capital projects reinvestment. Future workshops will be conducted to review the findings and recommendations of the study, and obtain public comments.  You can review the workshop presentation here. Workshop comments were recorded and are available here.

    For those who didn't attend the meeting, desire additional information or provide input on the study, information is available here<>.  An online comment form is available for public input to help determine the future look of the corridor.
  2. Community Workshop: Ralston Avenue Corridor Study Preliminary Design Concepts (September 18, 2013)
    A community workshop was held on September 18, 2013 to share data collected, traffic analysis findings, and provide the opportunity for community members to review and provide input on preliminary design options.  Over 50 people attended to participate in the process.   3. Community Workshop: Ralston Avenue Corridor Conceptual Improvements (February, 20, 2014)

    A community workshop was held on February 20, 2014 to share the Draft Conceptual Improvements and gather community input.  Over 50 people attended to participate. The input received will be presented to City staff and Council. Workshop materials and meeting notes are available here:

  4. Parks & Recreation Commission Meetings (April 2, 2014)
    Time:  7:00 p.m.
    Location: City Council Chambers - One Twin Pines Lane, Belmont, CA
    The Parks & Recreation Commission will hear a presentation by the consultants for the Ralston Avenue Corridor Study including a discussion of the transportatoin concepts for Twin Pines Park.

  5. City Council Meeting (April 8, 2014)
    Time: 6:30 p.m. - Prior to the City Council Regular Meeting
    Location: City Council Chambers - One Twin Pines Lane, Belmont, CA
    Presentation and discussion of the Draft Ralston Avenue Corridor Conceptual Study Improvements.
